| Hunter High School "Smash Mouth" Football |
Good showing for the Hunter Wolverines in their football opener in at Layton High School. Keys to the win:
- Good kids
- Good coaching
- Strong offensive line (especially the center #74)
- Strong defensive line and defensive players
- Amazing running back, Hyrum Purcell
- Excitement and enthusiasm
- Accountability -- if players miss practice they don't dress and play
- And more . . . . . .
I must say that it is the offense that scores the majority of the time in football. And, with that offense there are two players who must touch the ball in every play (C and QB). My son is the CENTER and he touches the ball in every single offensive play except the long snap for a point after kick. If he messes up and doesn't get the ball to the QB, he will deal with me (the mother) yelling at him.
Although football is not my favorite sport, I am certainly excited for this season of Hunter "Smash" Football!
